  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp sliced black olives
  • Optional: chopped cilantro

Method
 

  1. Blend the Base
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine black beans, salsa, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Warm It Up (Optional)
  4. For a warm dip, heat the mixture in a skillet or small saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the Cheese
  6. Stir in half of the shredded cheese until melted and incorporated.
  7. Assemble the Swamp
  8. Spread the dip into a serving bowl or shallow dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, then drizzle sour cream in swirly “fog” patterns.
  9. Garnish
  10. Scatter chopped green onions, tomatoes, and olives on top to give it that spooky “swampy” vibe.
