- Preheat Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season Mushrooms
- In a bowl, toss mushrooms with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs (if using) until evenly coated.
- Roast
- Spread mushrooms in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and tender.
- Finish & Serve
- Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice before serving for extra brightness. Serve warm as a side or over steak, pasta, or salad.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the pan — mushrooms need space to brown, not steam.
Use a mix of mushrooms (shiitake, portobello, cremini) for more depth of flavor.
Add Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley for a delicious finish.
