- Prepare Sweet Potatoes
- Peel and cube sweet potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Add them to the Instant Pot with 1 cup of water.
- Pressure Cook
- Secure lid and set to Manual (High Pressure) for 10 minutes.
- When done, do a quick release of pressure.
- Mash
- Drain any excess water if needed. Add butter, milk, salt, and optional maple syrup or cinnamon.
- Mix & Serve
- Mash with a potato masher or blend with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Notes
For extra richness, use heavy cream instead of milk.
Add roasted garlic or herbs for a savory twist.
Keep warm in the Instant Pot on the “Warm” setting until serving.
Can be made ahead — just reheat with a splash of milk before serving.
